Training

Lonquist Risk Management Services provides professional training tailored to your specific operations, helping to reduce and eliminate exposures. We provide safety training in Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Commercial Construction. All training is offered in English and Spanish at the Lonquist Risk Management facility, or onsite at your location.

Our safety training courses include:

  • OSHA 10 & 30 Hour
    (Construction General Industries)

    Customizable OSHA Training
  • First Aid / CPR / AED
    American Heart Association Certification.
    This certification is valid for 2 years
  • Qualified Rigger / Signal Person
    Basic rigging and knot tying techniques
  • IADC RigPass: SafeLand & SafeGulf
    Training of Basic Safety Awareness for individuals working in the oil and gas industry
  • Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S)
    This class will cover the physical and chemical properties, how to properly prepare for working in an H2S site, as well as proper reaction to hydrogen sulfide exposures and rescue procedures
  • Air Monitor / Gas Detection Training
    Training on calibration and functional use of monitors and equipment. This is normally taught in conjunction with Confined Space Training.
  • Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM)
    Identification of NORM hazards & exposure prevention
  • Confined Space
    Training in the hazards associated with confined spaces, along with new construction and general industry standards
  • Trench / Excavation
    Hazard recognition, awareness and competent person training
  • Scaffold
    User training, erector and competent person training
  • Hazardous Waste
    Understanding waste generators, describing proper handling and storage, labeling containers, and how to respond to emergencies
  • Fall Prevention / Protection
    Consists of training for OSHA/ANSI standards, hands on, proper use, maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Forklifts / Aerial Lifts
    Equipment inspection, function test, & OSHA/ANSI Standards
  • Hazardous Communication / G.H.S
    Most recent changes in GHS labeling, pictograms, and hazard classification
  • Accident / Incident Investigation
    Techniques for gathering complete, accurate and objective accident data used to arrive at true root causes and determine corrective action
  • Behavior Based Safety
    Training to identify methods and tools used to eliminate hazard, as well as identifying steps to implement the behavioral based safety program for your job site
